Qualifications: Graduation from a Dental Hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and approved by the RI State Board; Ability to attend to multiple tasks at the same time and to prioritize assignments and responsibilities to ensure compliance with established deadlines and protocols; Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required; Effective oral communication skills in a second language welcomed.
Special Qualifications: Certification as a Dental Hygienist; CPR/AED Certification at the healthcare provider level. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene techniques and procedures for all phases of general dentistry. Under the direction of the Dental Assistant Supervisor, the Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentists, dental residents, and dental hygienists in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of the center. Assists patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering their questions and giving directions to patients as authorized by the dentist or dental hygienist

Required Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire
Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking.
Passion for ensuring safety and exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness.
Basic computer proficiency.
Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial.
Dental Assistant License is preferred.
DAANCE certification is desirable.
Radiology certification is a plus.
