This course is intended for LSA seniors and juniors who are preparing for steps beyond graduation. Students are likely to have some experience with internships, job searching, or planning for graduate study. The course will focus on exploring the value of their education in the liberal arts and sciences, building a strategy to provide concrete steps to reaching their goals, and articulating in various ways, for various audiences, stories of their professional interests, accomplishments, and abilities. A central feature of the course is an essay in which students synthesize the value of their unique Michigan education. Students are encouraged to actively draw on their peers as sources of experience, advice, and feedback.

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
· MA in Marriage and Family Therapy or related clinical disciplines like Mental Health Counseling or Social Work.
· LMFT or LPC or LMHC or LCSW in addition to License in Addictions Counseling (LAC).
· At least two years post-graduate clinical experiences in the field of substance abuse treatment and trauma-informed therapies.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
· Combination of LMFT or LCSW and LAC.
· Expertise in providing clinical services to individuals, couples, and families impacted by substance abuse disorders from a systemic, trauma-informed lens, and/or medical family therapy.
· Experience of providing clinical supervision to graduate students.
· Experience teaching graduate courses.

Instructor
An earned master's degree in the field of appointment, or its equivalent in quality and extent of preparation, is required for the rank of instructor. The rank of instructor is probationary. A faculty member with this rank has five years to show significant progress toward a terminal degree. This progress will be monitored through annual evaluations by the immediate supervisor and students. An instructor who fails to show such progress at the end of the fifth year of employment shall be notified of the decision not to renew his or her contract for the following year.
Assistant Professor
An earned doctorate or appropriate professional experience in the field of appointment or a related field is required for the rank of Assistant Professor. The degree must be earned from an institution that is accredited. In some cases, a candidate for a doctorate degree or one who has completed the qualifying exams for the doctorate degree and has two years of successful teaching experience in the field of appointment or a related field, can be appointed assistant professor on a probationary basis. The probationary status ends automatically with the completion of the doctorate. Probationary status can also be terminated by the President upon the recommendation of the Provost & Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs in recognition of outstanding achievements by the incumbent in teaching or research.
Associate Professor
An earned doctorate or appropriate professional experience in the field of appointment or a related field is required for the rank of Associate Professor. The degree must be earned from an accredited institution. In addition, the faculty member must show evidence of outstanding and continuous achievements as a teacher and a scholar or a professional in the field of appointment. The faculty must show evidence of a minimum of three years of successful college/university level teaching experience at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Professor
An earned doctorate or appropriate professional experience in the field of appointment or a related field is required for the rank of Professor. Columbia University School of Professional Studies seeks candidates for the role of Adjunct Lecturer for the fall 2025 semester to teach the online, graduate-level course, AI & the Knowledge Driven Organization in the school’s Master of Science degree program in Information & Knowledge Strategy (IKNS). Scholar-practitioners with relevant academic and industry experience are invited to apply.
The course is taught via synchronous, online instruction (Zoom). It is a required course in the IKNS curriculum and is meant to provide future leaders and managers of AI applications in organizations with the required technical and business understanding of how AI is used in organizations. Responsibilities
