Under supervision of more senior counsel, and in collaboration with other department staff, assist with the day-to-day management and administration of the company's litigation portfolio with a primary focus on early resolution of legal disputes. Responsibilities will be broad and experience level appropriate, touching on many facets of the settlement process, and entail supporting external counsel in protecting the company through the settlement and litigation process. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Early Resolution of Legal Risk. Take active role in pre-lawsuit claims management process providing early resolution oversight in actively seeking settlement or other resolutions prior to full litigation. This will entail risk identification, case assessment, investigation, documentation, and reporting relative to pre-lawsuit disputes. Assist in-house attorneys and outside counsel in the day-to-day management and administration of the company's litigation portfolio, including litigation data tracking, evidence collection, e-discovery, discovery and subpoena responses, record keeping, and reporting. Settlement agreements Legal project management. Working with more senior counsel, assist in the development or development and implementation of internal litigation systems and process improvements. Create and maintain legal templates and forms related to litigation. The Alternative Placement Adolescent Center (APAC) is a 24/7 facility. Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule (days, evening, weekends). SUMMARY: The Youth Care Worker is responsible for the daily operation, direct supervision of the residents in the APAC shelter. The Youth Care Worker shall provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for up to 8 gender specific youth within a 24/7/365 work environment. They will work a scheduled shift and be on a “On Call” rotated list to accommodate staff sick calls and facility emergencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following for a Youth Care Worker. Other duties may be assigned. Admission - Obtain paperwork, from the referral source, properly and properly use a case management system. Collect and inventory all personal property, fully understand the process of admission.
