International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Behavioral Health Specialists to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders among patients, ensuring they receive appropriate psychiatric care and support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following for a Youth Care Worker. Other duties may be assigned.
Admission - Obtain paperwork, from the referral source, properly and properly use a case management system. Collect and inventory all personal property, fully understand the process of admission. Complete admission paperwork as set out by licensing requirements (PRLU) and facility guidelines.

THE POSITION:
The Family Intervention Specialist is responsible for strengthening school-family partnerships through coaching, resource connection, and structured engagement strategies. This role supports caregivers in responding empathetically to behaviors, improving family dynamics, and participating in the healing process. This position is responsible for providing in-home support to families and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry caseload for in-home visits, scheduled at the convenience of the families.
Design and implement family engagement plans including workshops, family nights, and in-home coaching.
Provide families with tools, kits, and strategies for building supportive home routines.
Conduct on-going needs assessments to identify barriers and connect families to community resources.
Support caregivers in building confidence and responsive parenting strategies from a strength focused, solution-based perspective.
Partner with school staff to bridge the gap between home and school environments.
Contribute to professional development sessions and staff training workshops focused on trauma-informed and restorative practices.
Collaborate with the Team to refer students to appropriate school or community-based supports when additional services are required.
Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) processes as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of students and the mission of the Hope School Project.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline with experience working with at-risk youth, adults, or families is required. Degrees that can be considered include: social work, psychology, drug and alcohol education or counseling, criminal justice, guidance counseling, family therapy. Other degrees will have to be evaluated further to determine if they meet the qualifications.
At least 1 year of degree related experience or School-based or behavioral intervention experience required.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and positive behavioral supports.
Effective leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
21+ Years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Bi-lingual preferred.

Valid driver's license, proof of personal automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record required to drive shelter vehicles for shelter business.
Must maintain confidentiality and privacy regarding all Children's Shelter residents' information in accordance with NWACS policy and all applicable Federal and state laws/regulations.
Attend and participate in mandatory training, staff meetings, and all other events, as required.
Set, maintain, and communicate appropriate personal and professional boundaries.
