    Job Title: Full Cycle Medical Collections Specialist (Hybrid - Louisville, KY) 💼 Job Type: Contract-to-Hire 💲 Pay Rate: $20-$24/hour (based on experience) About the Role We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Medical Collections Specialist to join our growing revenue cycle team. This full-cycle billing and collections position will support multiple healthcare facilities with a focus on behavioral health services. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate processing of claims, appeals, and denials while maintaining compliance and AR goals. This role starts onsite in Louisville, KY for the first 30 days for onboarding and training. Remote flexibility follows for candidates demonstrating strong independent performance. All equipment will be provided. Key Responsibilities Perform full-cycle billing and collections for multiple facilities across all payors Resolve account balance issues with payors, patients, and families Work directly with payor portals including Availity, Meditech, and Waystar Submit and follow up on appeals and denials (non-clinical) Monitor and maintain AR at levels appropriate for facility acuity and payor mix Collaborate closely with Utilization Review teams for timely certifications and pre-authorizations Serve as admin for payor website logins and access Assign staff tasks within billing software; support AR month-end close Prepare and attend weekly AR calls Assist in hiring, supervision, and training of billing staff Oversee and approve account adjustments and refunds Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2+ years of medical collections experience (facility/outpatient/behavioral health preferred) Strong working knowledge of UB-04 forms, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and institutional billing Proven experience with appeals and denials Familiarity with payer portals: Availity (strongly preferred), Meditech, Waystar Team player, detail-oriented, and reliable Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Role Details Hours: Flexible start around 7:30 AM | 8-hour shift with lunch & breaks Workload: 30-40 accounts/day across 10 hospitals in CO, KY, and IN Start Date: ASAP Parking: Free on-site parking during initial training Why Join Us?
