Job Title: Order Picker/Packer Job Type: Temp-to-hire Pay: $18 Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm - Weekend overtime The Order Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately picking items from inventory and packing them for shipment according to customer orders. Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Locate and pick products from shelves or bins using pick lists, scanners, or handheld devices. Verify product codes, quantities, and order accuracy before packing. Pack items securely for shipping using appropriate materials (e.g., boxes, bubble wrap, tape). Label packages and prepare them for shipment according to company and carrier requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Restock inventory in proper locations after returns or as directed. Assist with regular cycle counts and inventory audits. Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies. Meet productivity and quality goals for picking and packing. Requirements: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is required. (1-2 years) Skills & Competencies: Ability to read and interpret packing slips, order forms, and barcodes. Basic math and counting skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Physical stamina – able to stand, walk, bend, and lift items (typically up to 50 lbs.) for extended periods.
