The Quality Specialist will support the quality department in administrative matters. This position works cooperatively with teammates from inspection, manufacturing, and engineering to assist in improving processes with the goal of preventing defects from occurring. Successful candidates will be highly organized and able to multitask effectively to help assist in keeping quality operations aligned with the company's vision, organizational values, and core business needs, goals, and objectives. This position reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Create a certificate of conformance and packet with all pertinent documents, material, and processing cert, for the finished product prior to shipping to the customer.
* Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports to assist inspection of the product.
* Scan existing work travelers into a database to track and record changes and keep the information up to date
* Assist in the maintenance of AS9100 QMS system as required.
* Assist in collecting, collating, and organizing data regarding quality issues.
* Act as an administrative resource to the Quality department.
* Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.
* Ability to identify parts per company travelers and properly mark them for customer specifications

This is considered an entry-level Inspector position. Must be able to work with foremen, supervisors, and administrative staff to manage the implementation and/or continuance of safe work practices, operations, and overall function of the facility. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries according to company’s grading standards and specifications.
Follow the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP’s) for handling of fresh berries
Ability to provide quality feedback to QA management, growers, cooling operations, sourcing and sales.
Assist the QA team in other duties assigned such as but not limited to shelf-life studies, re-inspections and lotting of product.
Receive unannounced customer visits
