Ensure that function is fully set 30 minutes prior to indicated starting time
Maintain and facilitate open lines of communication between staff and other captains, banquet chef and management
Submit requisitions for specific equipment required for particular functions
Interact with meeting planner and guests to ensure service and quality satisfaction and adjust accordingly
Maintain lines of communication with the kitchen regarding timing, customer counts and any food changes or last minute requests
Check with Banquet Chef regarding food prep and special instructions
Meet with Banquet Manager for function briefing
Assemble staff and review BEO details prior to event
Organize work and assign duties to bartenders, servers and house person
Ensure that all sets needed for upcoming functions are set on time.
Prepare and present all banquet invoices for signature and post all invoices

How do I make an impact on my team?
The Bistro Café by Courtyard Marriott provides refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down options for breakfast and dinner including food, cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee. Our friendly and attentive Weekend Server/Bartender will help to brighten the day for our hotel guests in this fast-paced Bistro Café environment.
Greet every guest with a friendly smile and welcoming attitude
Complete opening and closing duties (setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas)
Take guests' orders and obtaining payment and providing correct change
Communicate meal requirements, in regards to allergies, dietary needs, and special requests, to the kitchen
Prepare and serve beverages (coffee drinks, cocktails, wine, and beer) in addition to serving food to our guests
Prepare ingredients for cooking and cooking the food according to recipes
Setting up meeting room for conferences and servicing the meeting room
What does success look like in this role?
Ability to work 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm
Six months of previous restaurant, serving or food handling experience
Motivated to maintain excellent customer service reputation
Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Reliability and honesty

Overview
Oak View Group is searching for people to join our team at an Exclusive Members Only Club Restaurant by Major Food Group and Oak View Group in downtown Phoenix.
This fine dining concept is hiring experienced hospitality professionals with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15 to $20.

Responsibilities
Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups.
Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
Takes names on a waiting list.
Runs the floor plan board.
Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at the host area.
Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required
Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
Proficient or ability to learn computer skills including POS systems, Seven Rooms, Word and Excel.
